Dia de los Muertos is an old tradition that doesn’t get a ton of PR. Besides Pixar’s Coco, we don’t have a lot of examples of how to celebrate the event. Do we paint our faces? Do we talk out loud to our dead grandma? What if grandma wasn’t a fan of you in life, does she want to hear from me now? How do we celebrate the dead properly when they were crazy in waking life?
