Mindy is back, and all is right with the world. Ms Kaling (if you’re nasty) is producing and starring in this adorable/unconventional sitcom about a young mom who decides to reconnect with her baby daddy when her preteen son insists they move to New York. It looks cayoot as hell and we can’t wait for the premiere on March 8th.
No matter what Mindy Kaling does after The Mindy Project, we’ll be there with popcorn and applause. She hasn’t talked a whole ton about what she’ll be doing after this season (which is also the show’s last), but in this interview from the Today Show she talks about how she got started in showbiz and what her long term parenting plan is.
We all know Mindy Kaling is funny and adorable. But sometimes we’re guilty of forgetting that she’s also a hard core badass. She’s been an executive producer, writer, and director on The Office, and she single-handedly created The Mindy Project. She also reps hard for comedians of color, and she’s a real role model for funny women everywhere. TL:DR – we love Mindy and you should too. Now watch this playlist, you nerds!
Is there anything more exciting than a teaser-trailer for a new season of a show you’re obsessed with? WE THINK NOT. Rejoice, The Mindy Project fans! April 12th is rapidly approaching and with it a brand new season. We’ve missed our favorite OBGYN. Also, that baby has turned us into this:
Mindy Kaling, queen of our hearts, badass, fierce woman of comedy, writer/comedian extraordinaire, recently did a Reddit “Ask Me Anything.”
How dope of a world we live in, where our comedy heroes will hope on a computer and answer our questions? As was obviously predicted, Mindy’s AMA was hilarious, charming, moving, and perfect. Much like her. Seriously, we had little baby tears prickling at our eyes while reading this. Why? Because Mindy is a damn inspiration!
Here are 8 things we learned about Mindy:
She has bad dates just like the rest of us.
She wants to see Scully and Mulder get it on. (Again, just like the rest of us.)
She gets emotional about the projects she’s involved in.
She would collaborate with the Broad City gals in a heartbeat.
She has a little crush on Aziz Ansari.
She is an absolute queen and will make you cry by how much she inspires people/humans/us.
Emma Thompson inspires her. (Us too.)
Her “squad goals” are ideal.
