Mary Mack needs mashed potatoes for the hard times. Honestly, who doesn’t? Her Midwestern brand of comedy has us cracking up, and also makes us very hungry for hot starches. Bon appetit!
We’re celebrating President’s Day Weekend the only way we know how, by talking about our new favorite things in the comedy world! Alex Lynn Ward walks us through the newest and best comedy from women this week, including a brony-licious web series, a hilarious therapy sketch, a kickass all-lady improv team, and the Instagram account of one Britney Jean Spears.

Ok just temporarily, it’s true. Teenz and Rach-Rach only came back for a quick Superbowl themed sketch parodying the rivalry between the Patriots and the Eagles. But they are so obviously the stars of this six minutes of heaven, and it’s making us miss the olden days just a lil bit.
Party season is nigh, and honey, we’re already dreading it! Having to host parties is exhausting at best and life ruining at worst (seriously, you try getting keg barf off the ceiling) and there’s not much that can make it easier. Except maybe this honest guide from Nerdy & Quirky, aka Sabrina Cruz.
The original She’s Gotta Have It movie was groundbreaking and complicated and really really funny. The new series looks like it’s going to be all of that, plus fun as hell. DeWanda Wise stars as Nola Darling, the free-spirited and extremely badass Brooklynite who keeps three dudes on the relationship hook at all times because why the fuck not. Spike Lee knows how to help women tell their stories, plus there’s a list of truly insanely talented women writers on the IMDB page, and we will def be binging this whole thing come November.
