Christine Castañon

Christine Castañon, a seasoned storyteller and theatrical performer lacked any serious musical training but started toying with the idea of writing music when she showed a friend some of her poems. Her friend suggested she do something with her lyrics and turn her woe into song. Christine then approached producer Charles Newman about collaborating on a project and the two began exchanging ideas from coast to coast, and Love Ain’t For Me came to be. Some of Christine's songs can be heard on the Emmy nominated The Empowerment Project, a documentary about women excelling in their chosen fields. And the newly released documentary, Losing Sight of Shore; another tale of women overcoming intense odds.
