We’re about to age ourselves with a movie.
We’re old enough to remember Rachel Lee Cook as the nerdy girl who took her glasses off and became prom queen. This next gen is going to remember her as the mom to TikTok star Addison Rae in Miramax’s remake to She’s All That.
And, honestly, we are here for it.
This is a movie that has it all.
TikTok stars! People who love nerdy things like, the arts turning into sudden sex symbols! People in their twenties pretending to be high schoolers!
Our nostalgia-feel-good vibes are off the charts in anticipation of this remake to 1999’s hit- ”high-school” rom-com. This time, with a boy, who we can ONLY assume is wearing glasses and the subject of a plotted bet to make him Prom King. Directed by Mark Waters (Mean Girls, Freaky Friday) and starring TikTok star Addison Rae, Cobra Kai’s Tanner Buchanan, and (cue heavenly trumpets) Rachel Lee Cook, we have HIGH hopes that He’s All That will deliver on the laughs, the tropes, and reminders that we are glad high school is far behinds us.
We’re eagerly awaiting the official trailer for the remake, and until that day comes you can find us re-watching the original, wondering why the industry ever moved away from cheesy narrator voices, and sharing the entire plotline in a trailer.
