When you are a kid visiting your grandparents is fun because you’re little, but then as you grow up you realize that all they talk about is dead people. There isn’t one conversation where your grandparents don’t remind you of your mortality. It can be very exhausting. It’s like watching a half-hour sitcom, but instead of making you laugh it just makes you go home and stare at the ceiling a lot assessing the passage of time.
